My choice of what you call softness (I don&#8217;t know the terms, I would call it gearing, but I know the type of blade is a factor) leads to oars shorter than 180 cm.</p>
<p>About shins, is it correct that tall rowers always not go to vertical, but shorter do?</p>

<p>Question for Aram: How long inboard do you have?</p>
<p>Do you have the same inboard and spread on the bio rower as in your single? Seems obvious to have the same settings, but I have to ask 🙂 That leads to the question how long oars do you have?</p>

<p>I started rowing the singlesculler 2008 (at age of 34) and haven&#8217;t been coached. My primary goal was to be able to row with the oars off from water. That took about 3 &#8211; 4 years.</p>
<p>Then I want to get rid of any obvious faults. Like the shoulders. But I had no idea how.</p>
