These terms apply to everyone who uses rowing.zone – the website and, later, the app. rowing.zone is operated by the person or company named in our Impressum (“we”). By creating an account you accept these terms. Buying and selling in the marketplace is additionally governed by the Marketplace Terms.
1. Your account
You must be at least 16 years old, give truthful information and keep your password safe. One person, one account. Clubs, federations and businesses may have a profile managed by an authorised person.
2. What you post
You keep the rights to your posts, photos, videos and results. You give us a free, non-exclusive licence to show them on rowing.zone and in our app, and to share them on our social media to promote rowing.zone, for as long as they are online. Only post content you own or are allowed to share.
3. House rules
Be a good crew member. Not allowed: harassment, hate, threats, spam, fake profiles, scams, sexual content, doping offers, illegal goods, and copying other people’s content. Commercial messages to members you do not know are only allowed through the marketplace and classifieds.
4. Reporting and blocking
You can report posts, messages and members, and block anyone. We review reports and may remove content, restrict features or suspend accounts that break these terms or the law. If we act on your content, we tell you why, and you can ask us to review the decision by writing to mail@rowing.zone.
5. Crews, trailer spots and meetings
rowing.zone helps rowers find each other. Training, racing, boat transport and any arrangements you make with other members are your own responsibility. Check boats, trailers and insurance yourself.
6. Results and data from public sources
Club information, regatta dates and race results may come from public sources such as World Rowing, Wikidata and OpenStreetMap. We show them with care but cannot guarantee they are complete or correct. Tell us if something is wrong.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep rowing.zone running, but cannot promise it is always available. We may change or end features. We will announce important changes to these terms by email or on the site at least 30 days in advance.
8. Liability
We are liable without limit for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. Otherwise we are liable only for breaches of essential obligations and only for typical, foreseeable damage. Mandatory consumer protection law is not affected.
9. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time under Account settings → Delete account. Your profile and posts are then removed; messages already sent stay with their recipients.
10. Law
Austrian law applies. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live.
